The inaugural NYC Doll Convention will be located at Brooklyn’s premier event venue:
100 Sutton St, Brooklyn, NY 11222.
The convention will utilize the entire event space, including the 70 seat theater, panel rooms, and areas for casual hanging out. In addition, we will have a vendor hall with room for 35-45 vendors and our raffle. 100 Sutton is a beautiful, expansive loft with industrial-sized windows, skylights, exposed brick, rustic beams, and many high-end amenities.
This date is confirmed & contract has been signed with the venue.

There will be a selection of pre-packaged snacks & non-alcoholic refreshments for sale in the main event space, but we encourage guests to support the local cafes & restaurants for meals. Outside food & drinks are permitted, including ordering takeout via a delivery apps. We will have a limited number of tables & chairs. Please be advised, that a seating for dining is not guaranteed.

Venue Stroller & Cart policy: we do not allow strollers or carts/wagons for carrying dolls.
Walking aid devices are OK. Walkers are also OK.
Trained service animals are permitted. Please consider contacting (via email: nycdollconvention@gmail.com) us prior to the event to inform us if you are bringing a service animal so we can discuss any accommodations that we can provide you and your service animal at the event.

The three main airports in the NYC area are JFK, La Guardia (LGA), and Newark Airport (EWR). All are international airports. We cannot give specific advice as to which airport is best for you as that will be dependent on where you choose to stay, but the closest airport to the venue is La Guardia, then JFK, then Newark Airport. All three airports have public transit options that link to the subway system.
Amtrak trains arrive at Moynihan Station in Midtown Manhattan. Moynihan Station is connected to the subway system, as well as the main commuter lines (Metro North, NJ Transit, and Long Island Rail Road) either directly or through the subway system.
The closest subway station to 100 Sutton is Nassau Avenue, serviced by the G train. The walk from that stop to the venue is about ten minutes. There is also a bus stop on the B48 route a block and a half from the venue.
Uber and Lyft are widely available in the city but can be expensive.
Yellow (Manhattan based) and green (Brooklyn) cabs are also options, but are very limited, especially around the venue itself. You may be able to hail a cab from where you are staying, but do not depend on one to get you back there at the end of the day from the venue.
The venue does not have dedicated parking and onsite parking will limited to street parking. We are looking into local parking garages at this time and will update this space once we have confirmation of the best options. Parking garages in NYC can be expensive. The ones we are considering recommending are a 10-15 minute walk to the venue.
Whatever method you choose to get to us, we highly suggest planning it out beforehand to minimize stress on the day of. Don’t let our reputation fool you, New Yorkers are very helpful, and you will be able to get directions should you get stuck on the subways.

We do not have a designated convention room block or hotel. As New Yorkers ourselves, we can make general suggestions based on our own experience or pointers from the venue, however, if you would like to stay in a particular area of the city or have a favorite hotel brand already, don’t let our list limit you! Do your own research and find the hotel of your dreams. The only thing we would suggest is keeping an eye on transit options to get you from where you’re staying to the convention. We do not recommend planning on driving your own car in each day, as finding NYC street parking is notoriously difficult. Please consider using public transit or rideshare services.

The area & surrounding neighborhood are very safe but as precaution, we will have professional security stationed at the main entrance, exits of the venue, as well as as multiple indoor and outdoor security cameras.
